Up at 5am to get ready and travel, its nearly 1 am, and i can’t sleep i’m too nervous.

Her one-sided smile lasted longer than I had expected as her pearly, seamless white mug full of cold, black coffee descended slowly, with her hand, making a gracious thump as it met the table. I watched her hair dance as she shook herself clean of biscotti crumbs and anxious tingles. The silence rang louder than crashing ocean waves.
Maybe I shouldn’t have said anything at all.
